Time for Change?

So it looks more and more likely that we will have a three way tie on May 6th. This inevitably means a coalition which will just mean more of the same. None of the mainstream parties have said anything that will scratch the surface of the £197 billion we need to find each year to break even and pay the interest on our nearly £1 trillion loan. None of them are questioning our future relationship with the EU. I don't blame the Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish for saying they will secure a more favourable position in the event of a hung parliament, but what about the English? If England is split into regions as is threatened the fragmentation will hurt us. We must have a national English Parliament just to ensure that all four countries in the UK are equal partners. Future immigration must be controlled, including immigration from the EU. Nobody seems able to apply common sense management to the NHS and experimentation and interference in education must stop. The police and criminal justice system should be given the freedom to operate. How do we break the monopoly, then? Less than a generation ago when the SNP got their first MP the government dismissed them, but at the same time were so frightened they ploughed money into Scotland to buy off votes. Look at the SNP and Scotland now! One single English Democrats MP will have the same effect, and from the point of view of the relatively underfunded rural community in Lincolnshire the increased profile will inevitably lead to the government taking much more notice of us. Bushfires are started with one spark and this is the election where we have the best possible chance to light that fire.
